The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, has inaugurated a planning committee to coordinate preparations for an oil and gas investment forum scheduled to hold in China later this year.
The inaugural meeting was held at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja and was chaired by the Chairman of RMAFC, Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, who was represented by the Federal Commissioner for Anambra State and Chairman of the Investment Monitoring Committee, Hon. Ekene Enefe.
Shehu said the forum would provide an opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s investment opportunities across the oil and gas value chain and attract investments into the sector.

He tasked the committee with developing a comprehensive framework for the event, identifying priority investment opportunities and coordinating the participation of relevant stakeholders.
The Chairman said the forum would feature business-to-business engagements, investment matchmaking, technical presentations and policy discussions aimed at fostering sustainable partnerships between Nigeria and China.
He reaffirmed RMAFC’s commitment to working with relevant institutions to support initiatives that promote investment, boost revenue generation and contribute to sustainable economic development.
The planning committee comprises representatives of key agencies, including the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC; Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA; Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC; Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment; Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority; and the Nigeria-China Business Council.
The inauguration is expected to strengthen preparations for the forum and enhance Nigeria’s efforts to attract international investment into its oil and gas industry.
