Society Coalition for Socio-Economic and Humanitarian Intervention (CSCHEI) has praised President Bola Tinubu for directing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to unfreeze the Osun State Government’s bank account.In a statement signed by its Director-General, Kunle Yusuff, the coalition described the President’s action as a demonstration of responsive and proactive leadership.
CSCHEI, a United Nations-recognized platform for accredited civil society and community-based organisations, reaffirmed its support for the EFCC’s anti-corruption mandate, stressing that all suspicious financial transactions should be investigated through lawful procedures without political interference.
The coalition noted that some of its members have partnered with the anti-graft agency on advocacy and public enlightenment campaigns aimed at promoting accountability and combating corruption.
CSCHEI also pledged continued collaboration with relevant government agencies in the fight against corruption, while expressing appreciation to President Tinubu for what it described as a fair and impartial decision to restore access to the Osun State Government’s account.
