The Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed this during a dialogue with retired personnel, saying the funds had already been released to the PFAs for onward payment into the beneficiaries’ individual accounts.

Adeniyi reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to the welfare of retired officers, stressing that supporting retirees remains vital to the institution’s future. He also assured them that concerns raised during the meeting would be addressed, while urging continued dialogue to curb misinformation and strengthen relations between the Service and its retirees.
The retirees commended the Customs leadership for engaging them directly and appealed for sustained consultations.
The meeting comes as the Federal Government continues efforts to review pension laws to improve retirees’ welfare.
