The management of Dangote Petrochemical Refinery has announced an upward review of the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), raising the gantry price to ₦799 per litre and the pump price to ₦839 per litre at MRS filling stations nationwide.
The new pricing represents an increase from the previous gantry price of ₦699 per litre and the ₦739 per litre pump price announced ahead of the last yuletide season.
The refinery had earlier assured consumers that the ₦739 pump price would be enforced, with Dangote reiterating his commitment to curb price manipulation in the downstream sector. He had stated that MRS stations would begin selling petrol at ₦739 per litre from Tuesday.
However, the latest adjustment signals a fresh hike in the cost of petrol across MRS outlets.
