The Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, Damtien Tchintchibidja, has held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York.
The engagements, which took place from March 12 to 13, 2026, were aimed at strengthening partnerships and advancing key regional priorities.
During the meetings, Tchintchibidja held talks with Bineta Diop, co-founder of the African Women Leaders Network, as well as Amina Mohammed of the United Nations.
Discussions focused on ongoing AWLN initiatives and enhancing cooperation between ECOWAS and the United Nations.
The meetings reaffirmed ECOWAS’ commitment to deepening strategic partnerships and promoting initiatives that support inclusive leadership, regional stability, and sustainable development.
