The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to members of the public for information that could help reunite a six-year-old boy, Aliyu Suleiman, with his family after he was found alone in the Kubwa area of Abuja.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, Aliyu, who speaks Hausa fluently, told officers that he travelled to Abuja from Port Harcourt with his mother, Rashidat. He said he became separated from his mother and his three siblings—Aisha, Umar and Zaipa—while they were out together.
The police said the child was found wandering around Kubwa by a good Samaritan, who took him to the Kubwa Area Command on July 9, 2026, after unsuccessful attempts to locate his parents or relatives.
The FCT Police Command urged anyone with useful information that could assist in reuniting the child with his family to report to the nearest police station or contact the Command through 08180382808 or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348.
