Federal Commissioner nominee representing the South-South geopolitical zone on the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), Hon. Chief Ndukwe Louis Ogugua, has pledged to promote fiscal discipline, transparency, accountability, and prudent management of public resources if confirmed.
In a statement following his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogugua described the appointment as a great honour and a constitutional responsibility, saying he would serve the nation with professionalism, integrity, impartiality, and commitment to the Constitution.
The former Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, said his years in public service were guided by accountability, ethical leadership, and dedication to the welfare of the people, adding that he remained committed to strengthening the mandate of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
Ogugua expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the nomination, describing it as a demonstration of confidence in his competence and experience. He also thanked Delta State Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for his support and recommendation, commending the governor’s leadership and commitment to development.
The nominee further acknowledged the support of former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for his guidance and contributions to the development of the state.
He also appreciated the people of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta North Senatorial District, and Delta State for their continued support, describing the nomination as a shared achievement.
Ogugua thanked his family, friends, political associates, professional colleagues, mentors, and well-wishers for their encouragement over the years.
He appealed to Nigerians for their prayers and support as he prepares to assume office, pledging to contribute to building a more accountable, prosperous, and united nation while giving glory to God for the opportunity.
