A grieving mother in Jos, Plateau State, has drawn widespread sympathy after a video showed her mourning her son, who was reportedly killed during the recent Palm Sunday attack in the state.
In the emotional footage, Mrs Favour Ayuba is seen placing a cutlass beside the body of her deceased son as she weeps uncontrollably.
“Avenge your death, my son. I trust you will revenge for me,” she said through tears, expressing the pain and anguish caused by the attack.
The killing is believed to be connected to the violence that struck parts of Plateau State during the Palm Sunday celebrations, leaving several people dead and others injured.
Mrs Ayuba’s reaction has highlighted the deep trauma suffered by families affected by the attacks, as residents continue to mourn their losses and call for justice.
The incident has also renewed demands for stronger security measures to prevent further violence in the state.
