The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to partnering with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to promote national values, responsible citizenship, and enhance crisis prevention across the country.
The assurance came when the Director-General of the NOA, Lanre Issa-Onilu, paid a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
During the meeting, the NOA Director-General reiterated the agency’s commitment to fostering civic responsibility and public enlightenment. He highlighted the Nigeria Identity Project and the National Values Charter as strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening national unity and proposed deeper collaboration with the Police in public awareness campaigns, intelligence sharing, and early conflict prevention.
In response, the IGP stressed the importance of professionalism, ethical policing, and respect for human dignity in building public trust. He also urged Nigerians to verify information before sharing it on social media and encouraged the promotion of positive values among young people. He reaffirmed the Police Force’s readiness to work closely with the NOA in advancing national security and development.
