Two prominent figures in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi and Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso, are set to formally defect to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) today (Sunday), in a move seen as positioning for the 2027 presidential election.
Details of the development were disclosed in an invitation circulated to journalists via the NDC Media WhatsApp group.
The formal declaration is scheduled to hold by 2:00 p.m. in Abuja.
The duo is expected to be received by the party’s National Leader and former Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, alongside the NDC National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, and members of the party’s National Working Committee.
Party officials have described the defections as a sign of growing nationwide confidence in the NDC.
