The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has scheduled April 28 to 30, 2026, for the written examination of candidates applying for recruitment as Police Constables.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commission said the examination would be conducted at designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the PSC, only applicants who successfully completed the physical and credentials screening will be eligible to participate in the exercise. Qualified candidates have been advised to visit the official recruitment portal from Friday, April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation cards, which will contain details of their test date, time, and venue.
The Commission outlined mandatory items for candidates on the examination day to include a pen, a National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) bearing a clear photograph, and a printed copy of the examination invitation card. Candidates are also required to appear in white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.
Reiterating its stance on transparency, the PSC emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge and cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters.
It warned that anyone involved in job racketeering or demanding payment would face legal consequences.
The statement was signed by the Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Police Service Commission, Abuja, Torty Njoku Kalu.
