Police Rescue Kidnap Victims, Arrest Murder, Robbery and Cult Suspects Across States

The Nigeria Police Force has recorded a series of operational successes across several states in the last 24 hours, including the rescue of kidnap victims, arrests of murder, robbery and cult suspects, as well as the recovery of illegal firearms.
In Zamfara State, police tactical teams rescued five kidnap victims, comprising the wife of a local chairman and four children, after engaging armed bandits during a pursuit operation. The victims have been reunited with their family, while joint security operations continue to rescue the remaining victims and recover stolen police rifles.
In Enugu State, community security operatives engaged suspected members of the IPOB/ESN during a patrol, resulting in the death of one suspect following a gun duel. In a separate operation, police arrested three suspects over an attempted child theft, with investigations ongoing.
Benue State Police Command arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal stabbing incident, while another suspect was apprehended for allegedly killing his father.
In Bauchi State, police responded swiftly to a stabbing incident and arrested the prime suspect, while efforts are underway to apprehend an accomplice who fled the scene.
Ekiti State police rescued two suspected armed robbers from an angry mob and recovered a suspected operational vehicle used by the suspects.
In Imo State, police arrested seven suspected cultists during stop-and-search operations, recovering a locally fabricated pistol, a live cartridge and suspected hard drugs. The suspects reportedly confessed to cult-related activities, while efforts continue to arrest other members of the gang.
Meanwhile, in Katsina State, police recovered an AK-47 rifle, three rounds of live ammunition and an operational motorcycle abandoned by fleeing bandits during a patrol operation.
In Delta State, intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of two suspects in separate incidents involving unlawful possession of firearms. Officers recovered a Beretta pistol in one operation and a cut-to-size single-barrel gun in another.
The Nigeria Police Force said investigations into the various cases are ongoing across the affected state criminal investigation departments, reaffirming its commitment to protecting lives and property nationwide.
