The Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed as fake a purported shortlist of candidates for medical examination currently circulating on social media.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Commission said it had not released any list of successful candidates, stressing that the evaluation of the recently conducted written examination is still being concluded.
The PSC explained that successful applicants would be notified for the next stage of the recruitment exercise through official channels, including email, SMS, the recruitment portal, and other verified Commission platforms.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, noting that the quality of personnel recruited is crucial to the effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force.
It also cautioned applicants and the general public against falling victim to fraudsters and misinformation, emphasizing that all official updates on the ongoing recruitment exercise would be communicated only through its approved channels.
The PSC further reiterated that the police recruitment process remains completely free at every stage and urged candidates to disregard any requests for payment.
