A tragic accident on the Akwanga–Keffi road on Thursday claimed the lives of seven people, including a child.
The incident involved a Sienna vehicle bearing registration number ABJ 367 FJ near Minkis Hotel in Keffi. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle may have been pursued by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) prior to the crash.
According to those at the scene, the vehicle lost control during the alleged chase, resulting in the immediate deaths of all seven occupants.
At the time of reporting, the victims’ bodies had not yet been evacuated. Authorities have not issued an official statement on the crash.
