At the Federal High Court in Abuja, supporters of Omoyele Sowore staged a protest against the worsening insecurity across the country, decrying the increasing cases of kidnappings, killings, and terrorist attacks in several parts of Nigeria.
The demonstrators, led by Sowore, carried placards with different inscriptions demanding urgent government action to tackle insecurity and protect lives and property.
They accused authorities of failing to adequately address the persistent violence affecting communities nationwide.
The protesters also called for improved security measures and accountability from relevant agencies, insisting that Nigerians deserve safety and justice amid the growing wave of attacks and abductions.
Heavy security presence was observed around the court premises as the protest remained peaceful.
