TETFund to Commission 467 Projects Across 271 Tertiary Institutions

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has revealed plans to inaugurate more than 467 intervention projects in 271 beneficiary tertiary institutions across the country within the next eight months.
The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Mr Sonny Echono, made this known on Tuesday in Abuja at the foundation-laying ceremony of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja)/TETFund Centre of Excellence.
Echono said the projects are slated for commissioning between now and October 2026, noting that the interventions include 50 iconic projects, with a minimum of two to be sited in each state of the federation.
He explained that while TETFund would directly handle the commissioning of the iconic projects, the responsibility for inaugurating the remaining projects would rest with the beneficiary institutions.
The TETFund boss also disclosed that the proposed UniAbuja Leadership Centre is intended to function as a hub for leadership development, hosting high.

The Abuja Leadership Centre is projected to function as a major national hub for grooming leaders equipped to tackle modern governance issues and advance sustainable development in Nigeria.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi, described the occasion as a landmark event that deepens the enduring collaborative relationship between the two institutions.
