Social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has alleged that corruption is widespread among security personnel in Nigeria.
VeryDarkMan made the allegation while speaking as a panellist at the ongoing 2026 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He criticised the conduct of some security personnel, arguing that corruption within the security system contributes to the challenges confronting the country.
He called for greater accountability and professionalism among security agencies, stressing that personnel entrusted with protecting citizens must be held to high ethical standards.
His comments formed part of his broader remarks on governance, accountability and the need for institutional reforms in Nigeria.
